Hogwarts Diary: How to Play
Hogwarts Diary is a limited-time event where you’ll uncover a secret Story by completing a collection of Pictures. Each Picture holds clues to the Story but is fragmented into pieces. Your task is to complete the Pictures by collecting magical Inkwells that can reveal the pieces of Pictures!
Collect Inkwells and apply them to the pictures to reveal what’s depicted. As you complete Pictures and reach event milestones, you’ll uncover new story scenes and earn amazing rewards. Upon completing all the Pictures and finishing the event, the final chapter of the Story will be unlocked.
Inkwells contain unique picture fragments and have rarities shown by blue Crystals, ranging from one to five. These Inkwells come in Packs, with the number of Crystals on a pack indicating the minimum guaranteed rarity for one of the Inkwells inside.
Each Picture Piece requires a specific Inkwell to be collected and placed. The collected Inkwells will appear on each picture page for you to use – Simply drag and drop the Inkwell anywhere on the Picture to reveal a section.
Earn Inkwell Packs by achieving Full Stars in Project Tasks and participating in events. Packs can also be purchased in the Hogwarts Diary shop and the main Store.
Hogwarts Diary : Event Resources
As you open more Packs, you may encounter Inkwells you’ve already collected. These Inkwells are still valuable! Owned Inkwells grant Crystals, which can be accumulated and exchanged for rewards in the Crystal Exchange.
You may also earn or purchase Mysterious Inkwells, which are highly useful as they provide a random missing Inkwell from your Hogwarts Diary pictures. Keep an eye out for event rewards and offers featuring Mysterious Inkwells!
All Hogwarts Diary resources – Crystals, Packs, and Inkwells – are exclusive to each event. They aren’t stored in your backpack and won’t carry over to future events.
Be sure to use them to complete the event and claim all rewards!
Hogwarts Diary : Crystal Exchange
Collecting already owned Inkwells will grant Crystals. Use your Crystals to exchange for the valuable items listed below !
Keep checking back, as the avaiability of these items may change throughout the event.
Earn magical inkwell ! Each inkwell contains a specific portion of the picture. A picture is fragmented into multiple pieces. Each fragment requires 1 inkwell that contains this specific portion of the picture. Crystals on each fragment show which inkwell with a specific rarity you have to collect.
Drag and drop the inkwell over to the image to reveal a portion of the picture!
Collecting a picture will unlock some rewards and may unlock a story scene. Keep collecting the packs of inkwells to complete all the pictures and reveal the full story. You can earn inkwells from playing game activities such as project tasks and events, or purchase from the event shop! Reaching a milestone will unlock exciting rewards and might reveal additional story scenes.
